If Only You Were A Machine

Hello. I know it's been a long time, but I thought of this and I couldn't resist sharing it. I hope you enjoy this poem.

If only you were a machine
I could fix you
Know where to put your gears
Read the instructions

If only you were a machine
I could make it so you didn't feel pain like us mortals must

If only you were a machine
You wouldn't seem as hard to mend
Restore back to your natural beauty

If only you were a machine
I wouldn't have to lay in bed
I wouldn't have to dream about how useless I am
How useless I ought to be
Because if I can't fix you
You just broke me
If only you were a machine
